Community Outreach Services:
To provide eye care services to the people who don’t have accessibility for quality eye care in villages, partnering with the like minded local supportive community groups the hospital conducts Comprehensive Eye care camps & School Screening Camps.
Comprehensive Eye Care Camps:
A team including Ophthalmologist and optometrist with 3-4 paramedical staff visit remote villages to conduct comprehensive eye care camps in association with volunteer groups. In these camps cataract screening, refractive error assessment and Glaucoma screening are done.
School Screening Camps:
According to findings of NPCB (Haryana), about 5% - 7% of the children had visual defects, mostly refractive errors, which could be corrected by a pair of glasses. If not detected and treated, these children with defective vision will be giving poor performance in their studies; many of them may even give up their studies as a result of poor performance in the examinations. To address these issues the hospital conducts free school screening programmes.
